I was asking the Lord why my house wasn’t selling. It has been on the market for over four weeks, and most homes are selling within the week of posting. I want God’s timing and the right person to purchase my home. I was checking with God to see if I should lower the price. I am peaceful and willing to stay in my home for another year. But I want God’s will and not mine or other peoples’ desires.
After talking to God about the above, this is what God revealed to me about this season!
This season feels like we are driving a standard car and needing to know the timing to shift gears. That you need to listen and feel the right time to shift. In first gear it is slow to accelerate and in the second gear you go a little faster. It is when you shift into the third gear that you reach cruising speed. You can feel the tension just before you shift. It is a season of waiting and stepping into God’s timing.
Preparation for the Shift!
I prepared to move by cleaning out all the things that were no longer needed. I had a few repairs done. I was ready to move. Then my sister, Ella, had knee surgery, and the hospital had no rooms open for her to stay for physical therapy. I then had to move quickly to allow her to recover in my home. That meant I had to move my furniture so she could rest on the couch to see the TV. I couldn’t move the furniture by myself. My lawn guys came that morning and helped me rearrange the furniture. The hospital wouldn’t even provide an ambulance. I headed out to pick her up praying she could get up my porch stairs on her own strength. For the last eleven days, I have been taking care of my sister, so it was good that my home didn’t sell. The physical therapist came on the tenth day and told Ella she was doing great and could go home.
At the same time, my good friend, Barb, fell and broke her femur. I needed to check on Barb’s husband because he is housebound. She is in the hospital an hour and half away. I went and took food to Jim and got clothes for Barb. God worked it all out, but I was in an accelerated season for four days trying to get everything settled.
Walking Through Shifting Seasons!
This next season we may need to know how to wait and be ready to jump at a moment’s notice. Right now, we are in a practice season to learn how to wait and not jump ahead. We are learning to handle the pressure and walk in God’s peace. If we want to walk in the supernatural, we need a new sensitivity to shift gears at the right time.
Those of us who are organizers and planners feel like we are walking blindfolded stumbling into things while waiting to hear from God. Chuck Pierce, from Glory of Zion in Texas, talked about having a migraine headache this last week. He loses his sight when he gets a migraine, but God told him to keep quiet and walk even if he can’t see clearly. Chuck was obedient and stumbled over the coffee table. Because of this act of obedience, the migraines are now totally gone. This is a picture of deliverance from past hinderance which seemed to go unanswered. When we follow God’s direction, in this season, we will have victory over all these hinderance. It is a season to walk in the supernatural, but we need to wait for God’s timing and obey when we get God’s direction.
You got this! We declare that we want God’s will above our own will and are willing to wait to shift gears at the right time. May God directs us as we will walk in faith and peace to be delivered from these past hinderances. Because of Jesus and empowered by Holy Spirit, amen!
