Restless, Discontented, and Frustrated!

Restless, discontented, frustrated and cranky! These are signs of discomfort when you are in your ninth month of pregnancy! You are ready to get this baby out! So, what are you carrying or birthing? What is getting ready to break out of the old and into the new? Passover is April 1st this year 2026. Is this the pressure we all are feeling?

At the same time, not knowing what this new season brings can cause uncertainty. It is hard to prepare for these unknown factors.

What Should I do!

First realize these feelings are normal when you are entering a new phase of life. Don’t allow this discomfort to open the door for fleshly desires and past coping habits to take over. You got this! You are God’s kid. God has provided all you need to walk through this birthing season.

Second, keep doing what you need to do. Usually when a shift in season comes it is tempting to sit down, run away, or hide from the pressure. Just keep focused on the steps you need to do each day. You may want to reorganize your files, email, or home. The desire to remove all different kinds of clutter in your life will rise up. This is part of the process of getting ready for the new things in your life.

Maybe TV shows you watch or speakers you enjoyed in the past are no longer satisfying to you. They haven’t changed. You have.

Third, spend time with God. Ask the Holy Spirit what is happening and how to deal with your feelings. Ask Jesus, who is your King, to guide you to keep on the right path. If you feel fear during this transition, speak scriptures about God’s protection and guidance. Proverbs 3:5 says, “Trust the Lord with all your heart and lean not to your own understanding.” This scripture sets you up for God to direct your path.

One of the prayers God taught me when stepping out into unfamiliar territory is “I am willing to be willing.”  This gives God permission to change your will to His heart’s desire. Here are a few scriptures you can declare over yourself.

Romans 8:28 in the Passion Translation says, “So we are convinced that every detail of our lives is continually woven together to fit into God’s perfect plan of bringing good into our lives, for we are his lovers who have been called to fulfill his designed purpose.”

Ephesians 4:20 in the Passion Translation says, “Never doubt God’s mighty power to work in you and accomplish all this. He will achieve infinitely more than your greatest request, your most unbelievable dream, and exceed your wildest imagination! He will outdo them all, for his miraculous power constantly energizes you.”

New seasons and birthing into new adventures are exciting and scary at the same time. God has prepared you for this time in your life. Even if you step off God’s best path, as long as you are willing, He will work it for your good. You are God’s kid and His resources are available to you.
