Seasons of Harassment!

Have you ever been in a cycle or pattern of harassment or frustrating roadblock to accomplish tasks? It could show up as harassing encounters with people at stores, banks, or neighbors. It could be an assignment of harassing roadblocks like computer problems, plumbing leaks, or your car not starting.

Are all these events demonic assignments? No. Some of these events are only normal everyday life happening to you. How can you tell the difference between normal life and spiritual assignments? Demonic assignments come with ramped up thoughts or lies. Thoughts like “you’re a loser,” “you deserve that,” and other condemning guilt-ridden mindsets. These downloads of negative mindsets are to bring confusion to get you to believe these lies.

An example of this was an attack on my bank card. Three months in a row, small deposits, and withdrawals of less than a dollar were showing up in my bank account. I would go to my bank, and they would give me a new bank card. Three months in a row I would have to reset my automatic payments. I finally discovered a website, where I was giving a donation, which caused the problem. I was tempted to stop giving to the ministry. Instead, I switched to a different payment site and all the harassment stopped.

How do you break these Assignments?

Knowing these truths that God loves you; Jesus died for you; and you are God’s kid; sets you in a position to defeat all opposing lies of God’s truth. These mindsets eliminate the lies that you deserve this, or that God is punishing you. Condemnation is never God’s way of correcting you. You may feel condemned at first, but correction always leads to a pathway of hope and overcoming.

When fear hits you or you cannot hear God’s voice, just do the opposite of what you are hearing. An example of this is if you are struggling with loneliness or insignificance, then the opposite is you are not alone, and you must be significant if the devil is attacking you! He doesn’t bother with people who are doing nothing for the Lord. We all have triggers from past wounds. Instead of hiding from these triggers, if we ask God for His help, He will reveal the trauma and remove the wound.

The other day I had an overwhelming feeling of loneliness. This didn’t make sense to my brain because I am not lonely. God showed me a picture of when I was in the military. I had arrived at a new base and had some friendships. A couple of months later my group of friends left for their new assignments. After they left an overwhelming feeling of loneliness came over me. Without realizing it, I had accepted the lie that I would always be alone, which opened the door to hopelessness. After seeing this past incident, I repented for accepting hopelessness. Then the loneliness left.

Many times, we unknowingly accepted a lie in the past before we were Christians or before we understood who we are in Christ. Once we close these access points, the victory is ours and the assignment of hell has no control over us.

Emotional healing requires us to face the overwhelming feeling and asking God what is happening. Many of us were taught to bury the feeling by comments like “you are so emotional” or “just get over it.” God is not afraid of emotions. Look at all the Psalms and the emotional roller coaster that King David dealt with, yet he conquered his fears by going to God not running from God.

Overcoming fear and other assignments by demonic forces is why God told Joshua to mediate on God’s word. God knew that overwhelming emotional attacks would come. Being courageous means facing your fears and turning to God for His grace and strength. This causes us to refocus on God’s strength and not our weaknesses.

Putting on the full armor of God protects you and show you how to use the sword of the Spirit which is the Word of God. Speaking the Word of God out load through prayers and declarations releases the power of God. God spoke when He created the earth. He didn’t just think about creating the world.

The blood of Jesus provides a covering of protection. Remembering the price Jesus paid and the power it released, causes your faith to be activated to be an overcomer. When you choose to follow Jesus despite the circumstances, this releases a faith fill resistance that causes the devil to flee from you.

Prayer

Father God,

Help! I am choosing to believe that You love me. Jesus paved the way for me to become Your kid. You have given me the Bible and empowered me by providing the Holy Spirit to help me.

Your word say I can tie up and cast down these unlawful lies. I refuse to believe these lies that rattle around in my head. Jesus came to give me abundant life. Abundant life means I have the power to overcome harassment. I ask that You direct my steps to be the overcomer You created me to be. Show me how to tap into this abundant life. Help me to change my thinking, speaking, and empower me to bring Your Kingdom on earth as it is in heaven.
