| The word “But” gives room for excuses and is not good enough which leaves you never satisfied. The words “If Only” causes you to live in the never enough or links you to past regrets that keep you from moving forward. The word “Maybe” places you in the land of indecision allowing opportunities to pass you by. What do the words “buts,” “if only,” and “maybe” have in common? They all keep you in limbo, which is a place of no progress. They release an ungrateful attitude because you don’t want to miss the “More!” Instead of being grateful for what you have, it causes you to focus on what you don’t have. It is like looking at a white screen and only seeing the black speck of dirt. These words draw your eyes to something you don’t have yet. Father God, Help! I want your best in my life, but I don’t want the desire for what I think is perfect to interfere with your plans. You use imperfect people like the apostles, and you still changed the course of history. Keep me focused on your will and not the vessels you use. Thank you, Jesus for showing and making the way into God’s kingdom. Thank you, Holy Spirit, for empowering me to walk this life, amen! Ephesians 1:7-8 TPT “Since we are now joined to Christ, we have been given the treasures of redemption by his blood—the total cancellation of our sins—all because of the cascading riches of his grace. This superabundant grace is already powerfully working in us, releasing all forms of wisdom and practical understanding.” |
