Do you ever feel like you have been set on a back shelf hidden away? Maybe, you have plans or dreams that always seem out of reach?
I was sitting on my back porch talking to God about all this waiting. I said to him, “Having gifts and dreams with no place to use them is like having a party dress with no party to go to!” God replied back as clear as day. “If you would wear the dress for Me you would have a party!” Needless to say, that shut down my complaining.
Here is the life lesson I learned from that God moment. Dreams and goals are glimpses into our future. The path to get there requires putting God first and walking in love towards people. Just as silver is refined seven time, we need to walk through the furnaces of testing and waiting. This is how God positions us for promotion that will not cause us to be puffed up or crack under the pressure of obtaining our dreams and goals.
God uses the waiting to change our motives and align us with connections that are required to obtain our dreams. Without this process, wounded warriors would lead a wounded army that would cut off arms, legs and heads for a hangnail offense.
Prayer and Declaration
Father God, I may not understand why I have to wait or why the path seems so hard but I trust you! I do want your best. I understand that you are causing my motives to change and healing wounded and bruised areas in my life. You are preparing the people I need to be aligned with to fulfill the desires you have place in my heart. I choose to trust you are directing my path for your best, amen!
