Unseen and Hidden Times!

I was talking to a friend about when other people don’t recognize your gifts from God. It is very frustrating and confusing.  I understand because I have been there and had a whole closet full of tee shirts saying, “Unseen and Hidden.” I was sitting on my back porch talking to God about all this waiting. I said to him, “Having gifts and dreams with no place to use them is like having a party dress with no party to go to!” God replied as clear as day. “If you would wear the dress for Me you would have a party!” That shut down my complaining.

Moses learned this lesson when he stood up for his people, the Israelites. He killed one of the Egyptian overlords for beating the Hebrew slave. Later, Moses stepped in to stop two Hebrews from fighting each other. The Hebrew man said, “Who made you ruler and judge over us? Are you thinking of killing me as you killed the Egyptians?” Moses had to flee Egypt because of this act. Moses tried to step into his call with his own strength, ability, and timing. This caused him to flee to the desert where God set him in a Godly family who taught him the Word of God, boundaries, and integrity. Moses had the call and the willingness to step out to accomplish God’s will, but he didn’t have the training required to carry the heavy load of delivering close to a million Hebrew slaves.

Dreams and goals are glimpses into our future. The path to get there requires putting God first and walking in love towards people. Just as silver is refined seven times, we need to walk through the furnaces of testing and waiting. This is how God positions us for promotion that will not cause us to be puffed up or crack under the pressure of obtaining our dreams and goals.

God uses the waiting to change our motives and align us with connections that are required to obtain our dreams. Without this process, wounded warriors would lead a wounded army that would cut off arms, legs and heads for a hangnail offense.

Prayer

Father God,

Help us to see from Your perspective. I may feel unrecognized and forgotten but I know You have not forgotten me. I am trusting You to prepare me for the destiny You have laid out for me. All the seeds planted in Your name are never forgotten by You. I trust You, that what I have accomplished through Jesus’s sacrifice will not be unfruitful. Help me to connect with those who are part of my destiny. Forgive me for complaining and allowing my ego to get in the way of Your plans. I give my dreams and desires to You. I ask that You create a beautiful future out of what looks like chaos. Because of Jesus, amen!
