How do you know if you are in the right place?

Have you ever wondered if you are in the place God’s wants you to be? I remember, as a sixteen-year-old sitting on the only bench in are small town of 900 people, thinking there has to be more than this to life.

Here are some guidelines to help you understand if you are in the right place or stuck in a survival mentality.

  • You will see the potential of a good future. It will be like the children of Israel gathering the huge cluster of grapes,
  • You will see giants! Giants are things that you must overcome to live in the land of plenty. If you don’t see giants, you are in the land of “just enough.”
  • It will awaken buried dreams and passions. These may be things you never thought could happen.
  • The right place will cause your desires to awake. It will create a momentum to act and move toward the possibility of a new future.
  • You don’t look back to the land of regrets and guilt.
  • You will be excited and push through the hesitation of fear and doubt.
  • God will start linking you with people who encourage, help, and have a vision for your future.
  • Unexpected doors and connections will open up for you.
  • Other doors will be shut tight. I remember saying to God I would kick down this door. He cautioned me that if he didn’t open the door, I didn’t need to go through it.
  • Unexpected obstacles will try to stop you from moving forward. Ask God for wisdom on how to overcome. Patience, wisdom and faith will show you whether to go around, over, or move through these obstacles.

When you are in the right place, a peace and hope for the future anchors you in the goodness of God. Even when opposition comes, you have a grateful heart knowing God placed you there and he will show you how to overcome.

Prayer

Father God, I want your path! I may not always understand which way to go but I am trusting you to put me on your best path. By your grace, I choose to walk this path. Help me to see and give me the courage to accomplish your will on earth as it is in heaven. Thank you, Jesus! Thank you, Holy Spirit for empowering me to run the race God has set before me.
