Keeping the Right Focus in a World Full of Clutter!

God’s kingdom is not about building your ministry or becoming a millionaire to influence people. These things may happen when you focus on kingdom’s goals. Kingdom is about being yielded to the King’s desires and plans. As followers of Jesus, we build kingdom by asking him what he wants us to do.

The world says we have to blog or advertise our events daily to catch the eyes of our consumers. Kingdom said to John the Baptist, go into the wilderness and cry out for repentance. The wilderness was like a deserted place or open field. John’s obedience drew crowds of people, who were hungry for God.

The world’s culture says you must have a network of people to be an “influencer.” God used twelve men who were walked in jealousy, fear, and had no special religious training. Kingdom uses those who are willing, not those who can talk about God but don’t know how to walk with Him. The foolishness of God is greater than all the world’s wisdom. Don’t fall into the trap that more is better.

One act of disobedience polluted the world. One act of obedience cleanses the world. Jesus is the King over God’s kingdom. To bring God’s kingdom into the world of chaos, we just need to ask Jesus what he wants us to do. Then ask Holy Spirit to guide and empower you to accomplish God’s will. This opens heaven’s doors of resources to bring change to us and the world around us. It keeps us from the pitfalls that the world has setup to keep us running on the treadmill of man’s works.

Father God, we submit our plans and thoughts to you. We ask that you remove the clutter of the world from our thinking. We ask Jesus for his plans and directions to bring God’s kingdom into our lives and circle of influence. Holy Spirit, we ask for your wisdom and grace to walk out these plans. Thank you all for hearing our request and examining our hearts. Because of Jesus and His Blood, amen!
