A Wake-Up Call!

In Luke 8:40-56, this event starts with Jairus approaching Jesus asking him to heal his daughter. Then the women will the issue of blood touches Jesus’s garment and is healed. Having her come forward and admit she was healed removed the shame and completed the healing of this woman. This stops Jesus from his journey to Jairus’s house and his daughter is reported to have died. Jesus told Jairus that his daughter was sleeping not dead. Jesus tells the moaners to quit crying.

Verse 51 says, “Stop crying. She is not dead; she’s just asleep and must be awakened.”

When I read this verse, I saw the church trapped by worldly influences. These influences have caused people to moan the loss of a love one whom the world has taken over. Then God reminded me of this person who went back to drinking and taking drugs because of a great lost. When I went to visit this person, I could see in their eyes that this drug induced influence had taken over but they were still there. I grabbed this person’s cheeks and called back their spirit to come back in control. The next day, they were in their right mind and was totally delivered.

It is now time to take back what was stolen and quit sitting with those who say all is lost. You planted good seeds in your children, schools, business, and families. All may look lost but the seed is still there. It is time to wake up those seeds of God!

Call in the harvest from all the seed you have planted in all the areas of your life. It is a time of harvest and not a time of moaning and death. It is time to awaken our culture and pull them out of their slumber!

Prayer

Father God,

We made many mistakes but your word is active and alive. We repent for agreeing with the world that it is a hopeless situation. We planted good seed. We say to the seed planted in our children, schools, business, and others, “Awake, Awake, Awake! It is time to come alive for this is a time of God’s harvest.” Jesus is alive and not dead. Seeds must die to produce life. Now is the time for God’s life to be manifested in our culture. We declare, “God’s kingdom come and God’s will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.” Amen!

Hebrews 4:12 TPT

“For we have the living Word of God, which is full of energy, like a two-mouthed sword. It will even penetrate to the very core of our being where soul and spirit, bone and marrow meet! It interprets and reveals the true thoughts and secret motives of our hearts.”

  1. Thanks Ruth . That was a great word and prayer. I just read Luke 8 last week. That scripture about Mary touching the hem of His garment. She said she was desperate. I feel that desperateness.
I also thought of the little girl that they said was dead and Jesus said she is only asleep. I felt there was so much more to it . I loved what you said and the prayer concerning it.
    Blessings to you
