Cries in the Wilderness of Lost Voices!

I realized, the other day, I was still incredibly angry. I was asking God why I had all this anger. I heard: Your voice was taken away. No one is listening. No one is hearing.

This is what I believe God is trying to show me. The black race movement was because they felt they had no voice. Now the “Make America Great” people feel they have no voice. I see the traps being set for Christians that are stealing our voice. If we try to stand up for any of our beliefs, it now appears we are racist, homophobic, against women’s rights, and our standards are now hate-crimes.

A New Universal Language!

After praying, I heard we need to change our language to cultural values. Somehow, we have to change how we say things that will allow people to hear what we are saying without the religious spirit. We need to make our point in a way that will penetrate the hard shell that has covered and stopped the truth that sets people free. An example of this is in Acts 5:34. The religious leaders want to kill the apostles to stop their ministry. A Pharisee named Gamaliel, used “words that convinced” the council of religious leaders to not react in anger and to trust God. We need to ask for God to bring more people like Gamaliel to rise up in the mob of anger people and release God’s wisdom.

We have to use words that others can see the logic and benefit of our cultural values. Religion has caused us to be lukewarm and ineffective in dealing with the world. Jesus showed us how to communicate in a way that revealed kingdom principles and values without the trappings of religion. He was guided by the Holy Spirit how and when to speak.

I am not saying we need to water down the word of God. We need to see how Jesus, dealt with people. He used the word of God in ways people understood the benefit of choosing the right values. It penetrated the self-interest and gave them goals to change their behavior.

Being a Voice!

An example of this is the women at the well. She was Samaritan, which was considered an inferior group. Jesus asked her for water from the well. For a Jew to ask for water from a Samaritan woman was not acceptable in the religious circles. She was an outcast in her town because she had been married five times. He confronted her on this fact. Then he taught her a spiritual truth that gave her hope and value. She then shared this with her town. If you look at the steps Jesus used through this process of communicating to her, it will show us how we need to communicate in this season of walking through a swamp.

First, Jesus didn’t let religious traditions stop him from ministering. He said he had a gift for her that would bring her into a better life. He revealed that he knew her situation which was she had been rejected five times by her husbands. Jewish law gave no rights to women in those days. A man could divorce a wife for many reasons. When she told Jesus the truth that she wasn’t married this showed she still wanted the truth. Her response opened the door for her to trust Jesus as a prophet. This allowed Jesus to give revelation on true worship and answer her question on the Messiah. This showed she was still seeking God’s truth after all the hurts and rejections. Receiving Jesus gave her a voice to confront the town that had rejected her. Jesus speaking to her showed others God’s love for her. She had part in bring revival to her town!

Born for a Reason!

Jesus lived in a world of religious rules and regulations and under a Roman Empire of political corruption. This never stopped his voice! It was during this perfect storm that God brought Jesus into the world. It is no accident that you were born in this season of unrest, confusion, and political corruption in all parties. The key to having a voice, during these times, is following what Jesus did. Ask for Holy Spirit to come and help you. He will give you the universal language required to walk through the minefields of these times. Ask Holy Spirit for the right path and God’s timing. The Holy Spirit knows what is needed to reach people through conviction and the love of God. He is our Advocate. If Jesus was led by the Holy Spirit, then we need the Holy Spirit leading us.

Colossians 4:6 TPT “Let every word you speak be drenched with grace and tempered with truth and clarity. For then you will be prepared to give a respectful answer to anyone who asks about your faith.”

Prayer

Father God,

Forgive me for allowing my opinions and the fear of others to dictate what I say and do. I am your kid and I ask for Holy Spirit to guide and show me what to do. I want to be the voice you created me to be. I need to know when to speak and when to be quiet. I need to know what to say and how to say it. I want a voice! It is no accident that I as created for this timeline. I am trusting you to empower me to walk as Jesus walked. To be wise in worldly affairs but harmless in causing others to stumble. Thank you for providing Holy Spirit to empower me to walk in this world. Thank you for Jesus the Waymaker and the Voice louder than the world’s voice. Amen!

  1. Good word!
Gamaliel was a religious leader who spoke wisdom and calmed the mob.
The mayor of Ephesus was a governmental leader who calmed the mob in Acts 19:35-37.
We need to pray for leaders like these to speak wisdom and calm over the USA! 🇺🇸
