A World on Fire!

A wrongful death was the spark to set the world on fire. The world was ready and waiting to explode from all the injustices. Everyone’s heart cries for fairness and justice. That wrongs are made right.

As human beings we have all suffered the pain of unjust treatment. As a women veteran during the time of the Vietnam war, the sexual harassment was overwhelming. It was allowed because of the mindset that women shouldn’t be placed in man’s roles. The only strategy to survive was keeping your mouth shut and picking your battles.  Then I met a women air force pilot, Florence Shutsy-Reynolds, from World War II. Her story made my injustices seem like a walk in the park. She would fly the airplanes that were unusable to demolition bases. They would make the women fly the planes with banners on the tail. As they flew by, the men would use them as target practice trying to hit the banner but would sometimes hit the plane and kill the women.

Changing Culture and Mindsets!

It takes time to change culture and mindset. In each generation, someone has to be willing to pave the way for others. God uses these sacrifices to bring changes to the hearts of people. Without these injustices people are blind to the wrongful actions of bullies and governmental systems that were made during that cultural mindset.

How do you get justice from an unjust world? First, you can’t get milk from a bull! It isn’t happening. Bulls don’t produce milk, cows do. What I mean by this statement is don’t expect everyone to pay for a bully’s action. Think about this. A rapist comes into a bar and puts a tranquillizing pill into a lady’s drink. He does this so he can rape her. Does that mean we should close all the bars because of one man’s wrong action? Do we look at all men in bars as rapist?  Of course not! Then what do we do to get justice?

We stand up against bullies and step in like a mother, a father, a sister, or a brother would do to help each other. Then we work together to reform mindset and culture through peaceful tools provided to us by God. We protect those who report these abuses by tearing down the structures that protect bullies.  Bullies have put in place a system to protect themselves against prosecution. That is what many unions have become. It has trapped good people who will be retaliated against if they report harassing treatment. We have laws against this, but laws don’t work if culture and mindsets are not changed.

Cries of Injustice — You Owe Me!

Many good people are confused and trying to dance to the cries of injustice. The problem is these good people can’t pay for these injustices. You are trying to get milk out of a bull!

God is the only one who can give true justice that heals the heart and brings peace. You can throw money at the problem or change laws, but it won’t heal the heart of injustice. Ask God for His justice. This will open the door for healing, restoration, and peace that your heart is crying out for. When you do this, you will see the right path to bring culture changings. When you don’t do this, you are looking through the eyes of a wounded heart that might bring some change but no healing and restoration. It is your choice how to react to injustice. I hope you choose God’s justice and not the path of guilt, condemnation and the never-ending cycle of “you own me.”

Prayer:

Father God,

Help! The world is out of control, but you are still watching over me. I acknowledge that my heart cries for justice for myself and for those around me who are suffering from these injustices. Only you can heal our hearts. Only you can bring true justice. I choose to forgive those who have abused me. I ask that you forgive me from all injustices I have affected on others both the known and unknown. Open my eyes to your path of life that can be used to help the suffering around me. Let me not get tangled up in trying to milk a bull. Show me the path that brings healing and change to my circle of influence. Help me not to be numb or indifferent to the suffering around me, but don’t allow me to try to fix things in the wrong way. I ask for your covering as Abba, Father. I ask to learn to walk in peace, truth and with the love of God so I can bring healing and wholeness to the injustices around me. Use these events to bring good and release your overcoming spirit upon your people. I ask that you restore the hearts of our fathers and mothers and bring unity to our families. Remove all curses from these injustices and heal our land!

  1. Yes, we are all in need of the Father’s unlimited source of healing for not only wounds that we have received from the hands of others, but for those “wounds” that we have inflicted, either intentionally or not, to others. It is only by the love and blood of Jesus that we and our broken world can be healed.
