November Midterm Election 2018

I was watching the midterm election results. I was asking God about the results and how we can change the toxic political climate to Kingdom of God. Some of the strategists were breaking down the results. Somehow along the way, the educated suburban people have disconnected from the Republican party. You see the fruit of this with the Bush family staying on the sidelines at political events. Mitt Romney crossed over and supported the President after meeting with him. He did this not because he agreed but for the good of the party. President Trump’s supporters are mainly blue-collar workers. It was the crossover vote of some moderate Democrats who pushed President Trump into office. Both parties have extremist that stop us from working together.

These are patterns that I have observed happening after the 2016 election. I am not saying I am for Republicans agenda or the Democrat agenda. I am for the “Kingdom of God” agenda.

This is what I heard the Spirit of God say about the Democrats taking the house and the Republicans keeping the senate. “I have moderates in both parties. The extreme left and right of the parties has caused my agenda to be stalemated. You will now see a crossover vote that will be used to push Kingdom agendas.”

Earlier in the morning I was reading Matthew 11:16-18; 25-30 NIV:

“To what can I compare this generation? They are like children sitting in the marketplaces and calling out to others:
‘We played the flute for you, and you did not dance; we sang a dirge, and you did not mourn.’
For John came neither eating nor drinking, and they say, ‘He has a demon.’
The Son of Man came eating and drinking, and they say, ‘Here is a glutton and a drunkard,
a friend of tax collectors and ‘sinners.’ But wisdom is proved right by her actions.”

This is the picture of the extreme left and right of our political parties. It is what is pushing our young people to socialism. Our jobs as Christians is to vote Kingdom! Kingdom is laying aside our agendas and asking God what He wants done. It is walking in the love of God towards ALL people and not praying Christian witchcraft prayers of what we think is right. God used Pharaoh to provide a covering and protection for the Jewish people by giving favor to Joseph. Joseph went through the fire of trials to adjust his attitude and get God’s agenda.

Ask for God’s Kingdom Glasses, which is seeing through His eyes. I was praying one day, and I heard “You are praying your will and seeing through your wounds and hurts!” This brought me to my knees and caused me to ask Him to help me see through His eyes. It was a process because I had to died to my agendas and get healed of wounds, but it has brought me such freedom!

Some thoughts on how to pray for Kingdom. Pray for all in authority and ask for God’s wisdom. Pray for God’s voice to rise above the party lines. Ask for hidden agendas to be revealed and brought into the light. Bind the influence of Tree of Knowledge and Wisdom and loose Godly wisdom from the Tree of Life. Call back the original intent which is the why organizations, companies, or reasons people got into politics. Pray for God’s Kingdom to come and His will to be done on earth as it is in heaven. This is what will heal a nation that has been divided and cause a unity of purpose.

I am leaving you with the following scriptures, Matthew 11:25-30 NIV, to heal wounds and let go of our own agenda.

“At this time Jesus said, ‘I praise you, Father,’ Lord of heavens and earth,
because you have hidden these things from the wise and learned,
and revealed them to little children.’ Yes, Father, for this was you good pleasure. “
“All things have been committed to me by my Father.
No one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except
the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal him.”
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.
Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart,
and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and burden is light.”

My prayers for you: May your Kingdom glass be put on. May hidden things be revealed. May Jesus rule and reign in your life. May you only carry Jesus’s yoke and let go of your own agenda. Blessing, peace and joy!
